City of Atlanta Job Application Process Now Online

New system improves efficiency by 33%

Beginning July 5, jobseekers interested in working for the City of Atlanta can apply on-line through a new system called ATLAS (Atlanta Application System).

The ATLAS system is a web-based job recruitment and applicant processing program which allows job candidates to check the status of their application online and will electronically notify them when positions open that match their stored skills profiles. The new electronic system also decreases the time it takes the city to generate lists of eligible job candidates by 33%.

"This system will be a real boost to the City's employment process," said Department of Human Resources Commissioner Benita Ransom. "It will make us more efficient and, ultimately, more competitive." The city's goal is to maximize efficiency and get people hired sooner by minimizing the paperwork associated with applications and evaluations processes.
