Governor Schwarzenegger Issues Statement on Announcement of Federal Homeland Security Grants

We will continue to pressure the federal government to make sure that California's homeland security needs are met."

Gov. Schwarzenegger issued the following statement today regarding the announcement of homeland security grants from the federal government:  
"While I am encouraged with the increased funding overall for California including San Diego, Orange County and the Bay Area, I am concerned and disappointed with the reduction in funding for Los Angeles and Sacramento. I have instructed my Director of Homeland Security to talk to local officials to make sure that our cities are protected. We will continue to pressure the federal government to make sure that California's homeland security needs are met."
