Grantham University Selected as E-Training Partner by the Federal Government

The Missouri-based university is part of GoLearn.gov's higher education online degree consortium

According to a press release, Grantham University, specializing in educating working adults, was selected by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) GoLearn.gov initiative as one of five schools to participate in an online degree consortium. The e-training initiative facilitates professional development and career advancement for all federal and military employees, as well as contractors to the federal government.

GoLearn.gov's e-training initiative was on the President's Management Agenda in 2002 for improving the performance of the Executive Branch of Government. It was designed to support the development of the Federal workforce and advance agency missions by providing one-stop access to high-quality e-Learning products, information and services.
Numerous federal agencies participate in the online degree consortium, including the departments of Agriculture, Education, Energy, Transportation, National Science Foundation and the Federal Communications Commission.

Grantham, along with the other selected schools, will provide low-cost training in a variety of areas including information technology (IT), project management, business, communication, acquisition and contract management, and earned value management.
