Michigan: Foreign Language Content Theme

New theme will provide access to categorized online services and documents that have been translated for use by the Spanish and Arabic speaking population of Michigan

The State of Michigan has just launched a Foreign Language Content theme on the Michigan.gov Web site. The new theme will provide access to categorized online services and documents that have been translated for use by the Spanish and Arabic speaking population of Michigan

While the Michigan.gov Web site already hosts subject matter and online services available in up to ten foreign languages, this new feature brings all of the content together in one place, streamlining the navigation for people who need access to this information.

The e-Michigan Web Development team at the Michigan Department of Information Technology designed the new multilingual theme based on results from a focus group assessment. A new navigation button has been added to the Michigan.gov portal home page, entitled "Foreign Language Content", which facilitates navigation to existing Michigan.gov subject matter that is available in Spanish and Arabic.

A shortcut to the Spanish content can be found at http://www.michigan.gov/spanish and the shortcut to the Arabic content can be found at http://www.michigan.gov/arabic.
