CivicPlus Creates New Mobile App Service for Government

CivicPlus, already well established in gov tech, has several other services, including meeting agenda management, 311 tools and website content systems, that can integrate into mobile apps for the public sector.

CivicPlus is launching a new foray into mobile apps for government.

The company, which makes websites and other digital communications tools for the public sector, set up CP Mobile as a solution integrated with its other products. That means that the same content a government pushes to other CivicPlus products can be presented through their mobile app as well.

That includes “smart, mobile-first” forms, tools for government employees working in the field and the ability to create digital twins of assets.

“CP Mobile connects staff and field workers and enables citizen engagement,” CivicPlus Vice President of Research and Development Sascha Ohler said in a press release. “It eliminates manual workflows and administrative interventions so municipal staff can expedite citizen service responses and free up time for greater focus on strategic initiatives.”

The apps are built on Amazon Web Services’ cloud infrastructure.

The move is part of a push in recent years that CivicPlus has made into new products and verticals. Though it has arguably made the biggest splash in websites, the company now offers tools for meeting agendas, human resources, parks and recreation and 311.
