The firm’s latest acquisition is Confirm, an asset management platform, from the company Precisely. Dude Solutions, which is backed by the private equity firm Clearlake Capital Group, has been on an acquisition streak lately, having bought Assetic in March.
Dude Solutions also has a history of acquiring products from other companies without purchasing the whole company — it did the same thing with an energy management solution last year.
The latest move is germane to Dude Solutions’ existing focus areas; the company already offered asset management tools as well as capital expenditure planning and permitting and licensing software.
Confirm, however, is geared toward the unique market of IoT management. And the company that created it also has a strong international presence, giving Dude Solutions an avenue toward growth in places such as Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific.
“The combination of our software platforms offers government clients an unmatched product platform for smart infrastructure asset management,” said Dude Solutions Executive Chairman Kevin Kemmerer in a press release.
