Mark43, which sells dispatch and records systems to law enforcement agencies, is offering free integration to customers who also use Forensic Logic's COPLINK X, a nationwide search engine for police.
The partnership will mean free integration between Mark43’s computer-aided dispatch and records management systems and Forensic Logic’s new COPLINK X search engine for departments that are customers of both companies. Effectively, police can hook up their data-generating systems to a nationwide system that other law enforcement officials will then be able to search like Google.
COPLINK X also normalizes the data coming from disparate sources. Growing the data feeds into the system should spread law enforcement data farther and simplify the process of jurisdictions checking in with each other.
“By working together to transcend data systems and silos, we can help ensure that every officer in America has instant access to the information they need to better protect themselves and the communities they serve,” Forensic Logic CEO Brad Davis said in a press release.
Such integrations and partnerships are common for Mark43. This year the company has joined up with Carbyne on cloud-based dispatching, with Callyo on anonymous calling and with Polaris Wireless on 3-D location data.
The statement called it an “out-of-the-box integration,” since Mark43 has already worked with the older COPLINK. The companies are offering the free integration until June 30, 2020 — “but there is always the option to extend.”
