Preparing K-12 and higher education IT leaders for the exponential era
The Center for Digital Education’s (CDE) Survey and Awards programs provide a trusted, third-party evaluation of how education leaders are thinking about technology and how these institutions are using technology to advance learning, improve operations, and support student success. These programs help education leaders validate progress, benchmark efforts against peer institutions, and recognize those driving meaningful, measurable improvement.

Eligible participants may receive national recognition for excellence or significant progress in the effective use of digital tools and strategies in education. - Independent validation and credibility

AI 50 Awards
This new, annual recognition program, produced in association with the Center for Public Sector Al (sister division to CDG), highlights individuals and organizations making significant contributions to Al adoption and advancement. Public- and private-sector participants focused on public service are eligible to submit. Awards are presented in the summer. View 2025 results

Innovative Technology Integration Awards
In partnership with the National School Boards Association (NSBA), the Innovative Technology Integration Awards and the inaugural Leadership in Education and Digital Innovation (LEAD) Awards recognize K–12 school districts and education leaders advancing learning, operations, and equity through the strategic, responsible use of technology, including AI, data, and digital systems, at scale. They also recognize the critical role of leadership in translating emerging technologies into sustained, districtwide practice. View 2025 results (link to come)
