GVI Security Solutions, Inc. announced that they have been selected for a public video security surveillance project for the City of Armenia, located in the coffee growing region of the Colombian mountains midway between Cali and Medellin."GVI Samsung Smart Dome video cameras with outdoor housings designed specifically for outdoor public area security applications have been selected to provide the video surveillance solution at strategic street locations throughout the City of Armenia. The cameras were selected for the Central Police Command because of their excellent image quality, powerful 32X Optical Zoom, Digital Image Stabilization and180 degree tilt capabilities," said Fernando Tomasiello, senior vice president of sales for GVI Security Solutions, Inc. "The cameras will provide live video feeds through Verint Wireless links to the Central Police Command to protect this rapidly growing tourist destination of over 350,000 residents."
This order represents GVI's second major public security video surveillance project in Colombia with Security Systems, a well-respected GVI - Samsung solution integrator, following a recently completed installation for the City of Villavicencio.
