MainNet's Broadband Powerline Communications Facilitate Multi-Wi-Fi Access Point Networking

MainNet teams with Gugi Communication in Meridien Hotel Project to provide broadband Internet services everywhere.

The Meridien Hotel (Eilat) has chosen MainNet Communications' Plus system and Gugi Communication's integration services to offer their guests immediately available, advanced communication services anywhere in the hotel's facilities and areas.

MainNet's Plus solution turns any electrical outlet into a broadband access point. Having installed a Wi-Fi for broadband Internet communications in the hotel's service cabinets -- Meridien, a member of the Fattal Hotels Group in Israel -- was seeking to simplify connectivity between each of these Wi-Fi demarcation points and the communications server center. Using MainNet's broadband powerline solution, the hotel was able to connect its system's Wi-Fi units without the need for any new wiring infrastructure thus avoiding any disturbances to its guests as well as saving the associated costs.

The Meridien Hotel, can now provide advanced Internet services anywhere on the hotel premises via Wi-Fi gateways in private rooms, in the reception hall, the SPA, or even in the swimming pool area, all done with a plug-and-play application. This is implemented by using MainNet's solution enabling broadband communication access over the existing electrical network in a typical MxU network topology.

"MainNet's intelligent broadband communications Plus solution seems to be the only available solution in the market today that truly does not require re-wiring or any complex configurations," said Ophir Shachar, Gugi Communication's CEO. "These unique features make MainNet's BPL/PLC the most cost effective solution to fit into any working environment. We are now looking forward to new projects and making our mark in the MxU marketplace offering broadband communications over existing power grids."
