In the past year, Era has won the vast majority of competitive procurements worldwide for multilateration and ADS-B surveillance solutions including Beijing, New York, Copenhagen and Dublin. Era delivered the world's first multilateration surface surveillance system at the Prague Airport in 1999. In 2002, Era recorded another groundbreaking deployment when they commissioned the world's first wide area multilateration system at the Ostrava Airport.
"The world's leading ANSPs and CAAs have concluded that our technology is superior to traditional radar and have repeatedly selected Era based on our reputation for high quality and on-time delivery," said Dave Ellison, president and CEO of Era. "And we continue to successfully meet the escalating demand for our solutions with the expansion of our production capacity at our world-class manufacturing facilities."
Production for sensors that pushed Era past this milestone included two recent groundbreaking selections by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PANYNJ) and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
For PANYNJ, Era will deploy its MSS network of flight tracking sensors around JFK, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty and Teterboro Airports for two aircraft tracking and revenue optimization projects. The first project involves the replacement of the manual terminal records system with a new automated system based on Era's patented aircraft tracking and data fusion technology. The second project involves the automation of the Port Authority's itinerant aircraft billing system for JFK, Newark Liberty and Teterboro Airports.
In China, Era will provide its MSS wide area multilateration sensors to provide parallel runway monitoring, as well as surface management solutions, for Beijing International Airport (PEK). This system is believed to be the first time that wide area multilateration technology will be commissioned for a precision runway monitoring system.
