Phoenix Government Access Programming Now Available Online

"This online service is another way to reach residents who wouldn't otherwise have access."

The city of Phoenix Web site has added a new feature. Phoenix government access television, PHX 11 programming, can now be watched online 24 hours a day at phoenix.gov/streaming. City Council policy meetings, and programs such as DiverseCity, On the Issues, Everything Phoenix or news conferences can all be seen online

The new live video streaming service will provide global access to PHX 11 programming on the Internet. Previously, anyone who lives outside of Phoenix or does not subscribe to cable television, could not watch PHX 11.

"One of our goals is to reach as many residents as possible with city news and information," said PHX 11 Station Manager Deborah Sedillo Dugan. "This online service is another way to reach residents who wouldn't otherwise have access to PHX 11's award-winning programming."

Future plans for the video streaming service include expanded Video on Demand where you'll be able to watch your favorite PHX 11 programs when it's convenient for you. Currently, the Crystal Meth Education Video produced by the city for middle- and high-school students is available on demand. The service will be expanded soon to include other PHX 11 programs and informational videos.
