Real-Time, Web-Based Workforce Management through Mobile Devices

Ideal for work site scenarios that require employees to move between multiple locations, says company.

Valiant, a provider of comprehensive workforce management solutions delivered on a hosted SaaS (Software as a Service) platform, announced today that it has added powerful new time collection functionality for PDA's and mobile devices.VMAT (Valiant Mobile Access Technology) duplicates the extensive capabilities of Valiant's Web Clock online time collection solution and adds an optimized interface for mobile devices. Using a simple onscreen panel, VMAT enables quick, easy check-in and check-out by employee location, job type, shift and more. And its real-time processing functionality puts a permanent end to batch processing delays.

The VMAT interface emulates the look and feel of electronic time clocks, but eliminates the need for them-as well as their associated costs. VMAT is also ideal for work site scenarios that require employees to move between multiple locations with multiple rates of pay during a single shift or tour.

Employees can electronically "punch" in or out anywhere and anytime. The entire process takes only a few seconds -- and supervisors are empowered to manage multiple employees with a single mobile device. All employee data is fed directly into Vision, Valiant's automated time & attendance and scheduling solution, enabling sophisticated job costing analyses in real time and tapping into an automated, web-based workforce management system that extends from time collection to scheduling, payroll and Human Resources.

"VMAT allows our customers to cost-effectively leverage the increasing presence of PDA's and mobile devices in the workplace," said Anthony Petraco, Valiant's president and CEO. "We're excited to add its functionality to our complete suite of real-time workforce management solutions."
