Texas Winter Storms, The Next Year

It is not exactly the same circumstances, but it is only 12 months since the last storm

I've lived through Texas ice storms back in the 1970's. Nothing moves on the road! They don't have the snow and ice treatment capabilities of the northern states. So everyone basically, freezes in place.

If you recall, 2021 there was a deep freeze event for much of Texas that put the spotlight on their electrical grid failures and the energy system in Texas.

Just this past December I did a Disaster Zone Podcast with Nim Kidd, the Chief of the Texas Emergency Management

He has a very high profile position when it comes to disasters in Texas and he has been helping lead the organizational response to what happened in 2021. He talked about that in the podcast I did with him. You might find it of interest.
