2013 National Healthcare Coalition Preparedness Conference

Please pass this conference information along to your healthcare partners and consider attending yourself.

Onora Lien, Program Manager for the Northwest Healthcare Response Network sent me the following information and asked me to share it with you.

The 2nd annual National Healthcare Coalition Preparedness Conference that our team is helping to organize as a part of our collaboration with two other healthcare coalitions through the National Healthcare Coalition Resource Center (coalitions from Indiana and Northern Virginia).  This conference is being organized by entirely by healthcare coalitions, for healthcare coalitions, using our own resources, and it has been endorsed by ASPR for the 2nd year in a row as something they encourage states and communities to send folks to.

The National Healthcare Coalition Resource Center offers exciting and ground-breaking opportunities to advance the effectiveness of healthcare coalitions in emergency preparedness, response and recovery. We would like to invite your organization’s members to this year’s National Healthcare Coalition Preparedness Conference, being held December 11-13, 2013, in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is widely regarded as the leading conference that brings healthcare coalition leaders, stakeholders, partners and members together under one roof. The Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) encourages individuals representing coalitions to attend the Conference, and the use of HPP/PHEP funds for attendance is accepted by ASPR.

We are thrilled with the opportunity this conference provides to share best practices, learn from experts around the country, network, and help our own and other communities build stronger Healthcare Coalitions.

The 2013 National Healthcare Coalition Preparedness Conference offers an outstanding program and great networking opportunities.  Participants may also attend one of our accredited post-conference workshops on topics such as building a Multi-Agency Coordination Center or pediatric triage care. Visit www.healthcarecoalitions.org to learn more and register. We hope to see you in New Orleans!

Note:  They would like you to spread the word among the emergency management community through any and all venues that reach emergency managers--so feel free to pass this information along to your contacts.
