I was pleased to hear of his support for the use of social media and the concept that citizens--people are not a problem to be dealt with, but part of the solution and a great resource.
The other thing is the commentary at the end of the article by Bob Goldhammer. He notes correctly that it will take time and a lot of effort to change the culture at FEMA. It won't happen in a year--that is for sure. One of the benefits that James Lee Witt had was an almost eight year tenure as FEMA Director.
