New National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS)

The crayola system is gone, long live NTAS (at least for a little while).

Most, if not all of you have probably heard the Department of Homeland Security announcement  about the formal establishment of a new National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS)   This replaces the color coded warning system that has been in place for the last ten years.

At the DHS NTAS web site you can sign-up to obtain direct notification of alert messages delivered to you directly via email or through social media channels, should your work place allow such communications.

You might also want to electronically distribute the NTAS Public Guide for the employees of your organization and put a link on your agency's website.

I've been thinking about some of the challenges of the new system and will share a blog post on that topic soon.
