Time to Ditch the Pagers?

I carried a pager from 1984-2007. There were numerous versions of course. The first one just buzzed. Then with the next version you could see the display number that you were to call, and lastly the two-way pager.

Perhaps it's time to give pagers the heave-ho! Everyone is carrying blackberries or at least cell phones. Using 140 character micro blogging systems you can now create groups, do mobile "twittering" and keep in contact with people and they with you.
