A Disturbing Travel Story

Arriving Back in the USA -- No Screening, No PPE for Customs and Border Protection.

A couple I know who just got back in the United States on Saturday, March 28 from a long vacation in New Zealand shared that:

They flew in with a full 787 plane load of people. Upon arrival in Los Angeles, they were processed through with nary a question about their health status or where they might have traveled from. No temperature checks, no mandatory 14-day quarantine, no signage anywhere that there was/is a COVID-19 crisis going on in this country.

And, the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents doing the processing of people into the country, had no personal protective equipment (PPE), masks, gloves, goggles, nada.

What a country we have! We really are exceptional!!
