An Extension for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)

A four month reprieve — until after the elections.

If the Congress of the United States was playing "flood football," they would be known for always punting on fourth down. Why try to fix something today when you can wait for someone else to fix it when finally we are out of money — or we can't print it fast enough.

See Senate passes National Flood Insurance Program extension hours before it expires, which gave a last-minute, four-month extension to the program. No one seems to care ... certainly not the flood insurance plan holders who are having their insurance subsidized by other citizens who do not have a flood risk.
