Change Your Password Day

That was Feb. 1, how are your passwords?

Yes, Feb. 1 was “Change Your Password Day.” An item I picked up on the topic said, “The most popular password in the world is ‘123456.’ You can see why it’s so easy for hackers to infiltrate online accounts. Take precautions and make a change by adding letters and symbols.” And numbers!

I had always understood that the most common password was “Password.”

If you search for them, there are different programs out there that will generate passwords for you and you can use the program to allow you to only have one master password for “everything.”

Until then, please do more to secure your digital data. There are bad actors out there looking to take advantage of simple people with simple passwords. Two-factor authentication is also a best practice these days.
