Climate Change, Climate 'Smange'

Call it whatever you like, something is going on.

With the current presidential administration being accused of pushing a political agenda by telling states to consider future climate impacts, there are still detractors who see all of this as voodoo science. See: As States Ready Disaster Plans, Feds Urge Them To Consider Climate Change

As a history major I'm always thinking about the past and the future. It makes me wonder when climate impacts will be broadly accepted, with only a small minority of "wackos" still denying that anything has happened. Again, recognize that I'm not pushing the carbon issue, only that something real is happening and it is impacting people, institutions and infrastructure.

Leadership is another topic I like to read about and study. Leaders see the future and lead their organizations toward a better tomorrow. It is sad to see that it will likely be the insurance industry or business interests leading our political leaders into the future on the topic of changing climate impacts.

I guess that would make some political leaders followers and not leaders!
