Contracting for Drones to do Infrastructure Inspections

If you can't own one, contract for the service!

Not every community or state is going "Gung-Ho" for drones, especially having their jurisdiction or agencies owning and operating them. The city of Seattle is one such community that will take a while to come back around to the positive uses of drones.

And, while Perth, Australia is not just around the block, check out Airscope for the types of services that they provide. There are more companies like Perth operating closer to home. I would recommend doing a search and finding out who is close to you and look at establishing a "standing contract" with them for drone services when there is a disaster, just as you might already be doing for fuels.

Taskin Padir, with Northeastern University, who is doing research on the use of drones to do post-earthquake bridge inspections using lidar technology shared the link above.
