COVID-19: Finally Good News Beyond Vaccines

No twin-pandemic!

All through the summer and coming into the fall, health officials have been worried about going through the winter and spring with the pandemic raging and then also having a bad flu season. It was the subject of one my Disaster Zone TV shows, COVID-19 and Flu Vaccines

But, here is the good news--"so far" the flu season is a non-event! The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) FLUVIEW page tells the story. The entire United States is in the green!

I watched a news report the other night and they attributed the lack of a flu season to the fact that international travel has been way down. I'd add that I know in the southern hemisphere they had a minimal flu season also because of all the COVID-19 restrictions.

One last bit of good news is that flu vaccinations for this season are near an all time high.

Hard to believe, right? Finally some good news beyond the vaccines being developed.
