COVID-19: Minks With COVID-19 Virus Culled in Denmark

Animal to human, human to animal.

Typically we think of the worst-case scenario being like the current pandemic when an animal virus mutates and starts infecting humans who have no immunity. This is why bats are thought to be the source of the coronavirus spreading from a market in China.

Now there is a case of COVID-19 infecting minks in Europe. See this Politico story" "Denmark to kill all mink to stop mutated coronavirus spreading to humans."

The specific threat is that the virus will mutate again and make any vaccine ineffective against it. With all the news coverage focused on the 2020 election, this bit of bad news is likely buried on page four of most publications.

Let's just say the above development is worrisome.
