Dark Angel Brought the Impacts of an EMP to the Small Screen

There has already been a TV series on the impact of an EMP.

A few weeks ago I was at a meeting and mentioned what an extreme hazard an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) would be to our modern civilization. Someone told me after the meeting (which happened to be in Seattle) that there was a TV series made on that exact topic set in, of all places, Seattle.

The title of the TV series was Dark Angel and the story's premise is a bit more farfetched, but I found it interesting that the topic is at least minimally understood by Hollywood as to the impacts that could happen in reaction to an EMP.

While overly dramatized by the TV series, the average citizen and elected official is oblivious to what we might face with an EMP either occurring naturally (a G3 event is ongoing as I write this) or from a human-caused nuclear blast.

You may bemoan the fact that you don't have enough funding for what you would like to accomplish with your emergency management program. On the other hand, we have no shortage of hazards to be concerned about with more developing every day!
