Disaster Zone Podcast: A Policy View of Sea and Airport Operations

The supply chain has maritime and airport roots.

Our seaports and airports are critical elements of our nation’s logistics system. Listen to this Disaster Zone podcast: “A Policy View of Sea and Airport Operations.”

Many times we don’t have good connections with our elected officials and how they view their functions and viewpoints on operations and other items of concern. While you can’t always call up an elected official and go have a cup of coffee with them, think about how you can have a better connection.

Here’s the description of the podcast:

“Our maritime and aviation ports are critical to the commerce of the United States. Recently the importance of marine ports has been highlighted as challenges in the supply chain have been evident. In this podcast Ryan Calkins, Port Commissioner for the Port of Seattle shares information on the role of port commissioners, but also the scale of the operation in running both a maritime port and the major airport in the Pacific Northwest, SeaTac Airport. These facilities are critical infrastructure and key to future economic development!”
