Don’t Have a Big Disaster Right Now — Because of Hurricane Ian

All resources are headed to Florida.

I am at Idaho’s Emergency Management Conference in Boise. Brock Long and Mike Sprayberry are here talking about their lessons learned over their careers.

One of the points made by Brock Long was this: This is the absolutely worst time to have a big disaster. All national resources for debris clearing and housing are being dispatched to Florida. There isn’t any spare capacity anywhere for another major disaster.

Let’s hope it stays quiet in the United States, disaster wise.
