Don't Shift Disaster Costs Between Levels of Government

Mitigate the risks, which will reduce disaster costs.

Pew responded to a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) request for input with this: "Pew Recommends That FEMA Reconsider Proposed Federal Disaster Criteria."

The real needed action is to promote more efforts toward disaster mitigation. Doing that will reduce disaster costs.
