Drone Countermeasures

Companies are now being established focused on drone countermeasures.

I'm all in favor of drones being used for emergency management purposes. Unfortunately there can also be a "dark side" to the use of drones. I'm sure we'll see some dramatic use of drones in the near future for either criminal or terrorist purposes. Now with the Superbowl in our rearview mirror, you can still see what some cities are doing, Santa Clara, Calif., Protects Against Drone-Based Threats During Large Public Events

With that in mind, there are now companies focused on coming up with countermeasures on drones. Check out Droneshield and Dedrone. There will, of course, be an "explosion" of these types of companies once there is a very public and nefarious use of a drone.
