Electrical Substation Attack in Washington State

In my own backyard!

Yes, perhaps you heard about this attack from several days ago here in Tacoma, Washington. Two substations were damaged by...who knows who?

One person I talked to called them Vandals, but I don't think it was them or the Goths (gotta know your history). Clearly these were planned attacks to critical infrastructure. Could they just be hoodlums acting out some fantasy about being a disrupter avenging some wrong?

My thinking this is some copy cat right wing nut job trying to make their own statement about their ability to cause X, Y or Z to happen.

Clearly it is but another example for how openly vulnerable our critical infrastructures are to attacks. Watch for more of these coming in the months ahead. When one is successful, it shows the way. When two are successful, people start planning.
