Family Members Lost to QAnon

What do you do when you can no longer have a 'normal' conversation?

(Friday, January 22nd)

This podcast might be of use to people who have friends or relatives who have gone down the QAnon rabbit hole and with whom you cannot reason.

There are several people interviewed who have had their relationships shattered due to a parent who has become immersed in the dysfunctional world of QAnon and the disinformation and lies that are spread there. There is also a conversation with someone who is a professional providing advice on how to talk with these people.

No surprise here, but your providing factual information will do no good, shaming them won't work either. The final piece I recall is to smother them in love and don't think you are going to change their minds with arguments.

Professionals working in the field of emergency management are sure to run into these people during the course of your normal work life. The tips provided are applicable to you too. I guess we should 'hear them out' but don't try to provide rational arguments to counter their beliefs.
