FEMA's Disaster Preparedness Research Stakeholder Workshops
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) wants to learn more about the disaster preparedness research conversation, and we need your help! FEMA’s Individual and Community Preparedness Division (ICPD) is creating a disaster preparedness Learning Agenda, and we want to hear from you about questions of interest to the preparedness community.
We would like to invite you to lend your expertise and voice to us to better understand your work, and your preparedness priorities and interests. Your participation in these FEMA-hosted Workshops will help to inform this Learning Agenda. The disaster preparedness Learning Agenda will help community members, emergency management practitioners, organizational and community leaders, and government officials build a culture of preparedness by identifying key questions and areas of interest. Here are some facts about the Workshop that can help you decide if you would like to participate:
- Workshops will take place during February and March. All Workshops will take place on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30pm ET to 3:30pm ET.
- ICPD will be hosting Workshops for each of our five portfolio areas: Preparedness Actions; Capacity Building; Citizen Responder; Youth Preparedness; and Financial Resilience.
- Workshops will take place on Zoom. We will confirm meeting dates and times, as well as share information about the agenda and Zoom functionality, at least one week in advance of the Workshop.
- Workshops will be recorded for transcription purposes. Recordings will be properly disposed after transcription. You will be asked to verbally consent to recording before the session begins.
If you have any questions, please contact FEMA-Prepare@fema.dhs.gov.
