Free Mobile Service for First Responder Agencies for 10 Years

Note to AT&T and Verizon, in urban areas — you've got problems.

T-Mobile came out with this announcement today:

We told you the Un-carrier is on the move with #5GforGood!

In a video today, T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert shared the news!

  • We launched Connecting Heroes, the Un-carrier’s 10-year commitment to provide free service and 5G access to first responder agencies — all public and non-profit state and local fire, police and EMS departments — saving them up to $7.7 billion.
  • Plus, the country’s biggest 5G network is getting even bigger and better. With service now live in San Francisco, Sacramento, Tampa and Orlando, T-Mobile’s 5G network is now 8 times bigger than AT&T’s and 28 THOUSAND times bigger than Verizon’s.
  • And we aren’t stopping there — T-Mobile’s giving everyone a new iPhone SE on us or half off Samsung Galaxy GS20 (up to $500) with trade-in.
As I blogged just a few days ago, budget cuts are coming to city and county budgets. There will be layoffs and when you have something to "write off" to save a nickel, dime or maybe tens of thousands of dollars for larger urban departments, you will do it. T-Mobile just hit a grand slam!

I have to say they know how to market!
