How to Counter Fake News During a Disaster

It is all about your use of social media to spread information and collect information.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a new publication coming out that will provide some guidelines and helpful tips on how to counter incorrect information being proliferated on social media channels, you can see a DRAFT at Countering Misinformation, Rumors, and False Information on Social Media Before, During, and After Disasters and Emergencies.

I highly recommend it for reading since it hits many of the issues you are likely to encounter.
