Hurricane Sandy: Everything Went Well!

Recovery Diva calls the question, "How is that possible?"

Claire Rubin, aka Recovery Diva, calls out FEMA in a blog post Believe it or not for their new 15 page report from the Department of Homeland Security Inspector General about the initial response to Hurricane Sandy.

Read the blog posting I just did before this one that called out significant issues from Hurricane Katrina that we are still trying to figure out how to deal with, and then per Claire the report FEMA's Initial Response in New York to Hurricane Sandy

Maybe they wrote the report based only on the news releases that FEMA put out about the disaster.

I guess housing wasn't an issue.  Neither was fuel distribution. Or, what about the confused preparations by many agencies and organizations that caused the loss of millions of dollars of rolling stock because they were not moved out and left in the inundation zone.

I'll give this to FEMA, they had a full zone press on being ready and having people in position before the storm.  That doesn't mean that it all went well.
