South Puget Sound Community College is recruiting for a new position of Emergency Operations/Risk Management Officer in the Campus Security Department.

 

The Emergency Operations/Risk Management Officer encourages student success by promoting a safe learning environment through development, direction, and oversight of the college’s emergency operations and incident management program, incident command and incident management training and risk management and to assist with the provision of security services for the college community.

 

The Emergency Operations/Risk Management Officer reports directly to the Director of Security and is responsible for developing and making recommendations to senior management for operations work, procedures, plans, and policies in regard to campus wide best practices for emergency operations and risk management.

 

The Emergency Operations/Risk Management Officer  will recruit, train, and equip building evacuation coordinators, plan, develop, schedule, coordinate, and conduct campus emergency drills and exercises for students, faculty, and staff and develop, coordinate, facilitate and/or conduct campus wide incident command and incident management training for faculty and staff.
