National & Northwest Tribal Emergency Preparedness Conference

This is their 10th anniversary of doing these and the first national event.

The link to tribal emergency management efforts by local and state emergency management agencies has been strengthened because of the Federal grant programs.  It is a very positive outcome from the terrible events of 9/11.

Here are the basic details of the upcoming Tribal Emergency Preparedness Conference that brings together many people with linkages to tribal programs:

DATES:  13-15 August 2013, a Tuesday-Thursday event

PLACE:   Northern Quest Casino and Resort, Spokane, Wash.; http://www.northernquest.com/

POC:  Lynda Zambrano (cc:d), Executive Director, NWTEMC/NTEMC, +1 425 508 3967, lynda@nwtemc.org

See the  Conference Website  and to register.

This year's conference will be the organization's 10th annual.  It will also be the inaugural conference for the National Tribal Emergency Management Council  Steve Golubic, the Director of Tribal Affairs for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will be a speaker.

The event location is a good one.  The Northern Quest Resort is very new and the Weather in Spokane should be terrific in August.
