New Emergency Management Certificate Program

Posting this information here is not an endorsement of this specific program. I often get emails asking which school is best to attend, and I never endorse one particular school over another. I think you need to make a personal evaluation of each and seek references from past students to get a good assessment of the program. Any reputable school will be able to help you contact former students and then — ask them for another name or two from their class/cohort that you can contact to get multiple perspectives.

I do like the classes they have established. All seem very relevant in today's world of emergency management.

Auburn University – Emergency Management for Government and the Public Sector Certificate Program

The Emergency Management Certificate program transitioned from the Center for Governmental Services in the winter of 2015 and now resides at its new home, under the guidance and direction of Auburn University’s Office of Professional and Continuing Education.

Quick Facts about the Program
Earn the Emergency Management certificate by completing a minimum of five (5) courses. Individuals enrolled in the Emergency Management Certificate program must complete all four specified core courses as well as one elective. Courses may be taken individually and independently from the Emergency Management Certificate.
