As Americans, we have a tendency to only pay attention to disasters here in the United States. However, there are huge disasters happening across the globe. Generally, these are flood events. Today it is France and Paris' turn to be impacted by flooding.

I have to admit that after a lifetime of reading about disasters, I don't ever recall people being advised to watch out for rats that are being displaced by the flooding. Haven't these French emergency managers ever watched
