Put a QR Code on Your Business Card

This idea applies to just about everyone.

Yesterday I attended a Supply Chain Security Forum and met a few new people. One was Cameron Birge who is new to the Seattle area and has an emergency management background and is looking for employment. I was impressed that on the back of his business card he put a QR Code that links to his LinkedIn page. Thus, you can see his work experience, resume (which includes international work), contact information electronically, etc. This is a great way to give people more information and goes beyond handing out resumes, which might feel awkward. And, if you are looking for qualified candidates, his contact information is (206) 427 0499, cameron.birge@gmail.com

I'm thinking we should all have a QR Code on the back of our business cards. The link might go to your agency Web page or directly go to your digital disaster preparedness information. It costs little or nothing to add those to the back of the card -- why not do it?
