My grandfather was a janitor and so I have an affinity for the work that janitors do for us. When you think of the activated Emergency Operations Center (EOC) going 24-7 with perhaps hundreds of people passing through the building, you will understand the importance of the janitor keeping all the areas clean, tidy and sanitary. I certainly don’t have the knowledge, skills, and time to do every job that needs to be done. Whoever contributes to the mission is important to the success of the organization. I’m reminded of this fact almost every day. Everyone is important and their contributions are critical to our success.
