Starting Your Own Disaster Supply Business — An Opportunity

Are you looking to start a small business?

This is an unusual blog post for me, not your usual information sharing of content with some commentary.

Here's the deal. I have an acquaintance who owned and operated a disaster supply business for many years. For a combination of reasons, he shut the business down and is now fully retired. He would like to see someone pick up where he left off and take the business forward.

What he has to offer is a number of things. He has a complete list of all the supplies that can go into various-sized disaster kits and the suppliers from whom you can obtain those supplies. This in itself is a huge advantage in not having to put together the product list, figure out what to charge and how to package the products.

He had also built up over time lists of clients and contacts that would help in launching a business. For instance, Costco carried his kits that were built to order.

I am not looking to be a broker of any deal, but if you are interested, you can use me as a point of contact and I'll link you up with the former owner of the business and you can see if there is any value. Look for my contact information at www.ericholdeman.com.

Establishing a small business as a startup is not for the faint of heart, but should you be up for the challenge and looking to make a difference in disaster preparedness, this might be something for you to explore.
