Successful Examples of Flood Mitigation

These are technically more difficult, but they accomplish much more.

Flooding is the most common hazard in the United States. It happens almost everywhere, even in the desert. Mitigating flooding in the "as-built" environment can be difficult. See two examples of success at Stormwater's new look. This is from the American City and County magazine.

The examples given achieved more than mitigating the flooding. They also created green space that can be enjoyed year-round.
