The Amazon Wish Book

How the tables have turned.

This is the week that Sears Declares Bankruptcy. I expect the stores will be completely gone within a few short years, maybe even in 2019.

Coincidentally, I either read or heard this week that Amazon will be putting out a "physical" paper toy catalog for this 2018 Christmas season. Which made me think about the old Sears Wishbook that would come out each year about this time. As a kid I would page carefully through the toy section making note of gift ideas for my parents.

The worm has turned — the online retailer is victorious and reverts to paper to sell their online products. How ironic is that! It is a bit similar to Amazon establishing brick-and-mortar bookstores.

Just when you thought you might be throwing away all your Bic pens, you will need one to circle the toys that you want for Christmas.
