The Earthquake Bed or Sarcophagus

The Christmas gift for the person who has everything already.

You have one week left to find and buy that special gift for someone who has "everything" and who you can't surprise them with something they need. I have just the right gift and I'm sure they don't have the earthquake bed

Watch the video. There are different styles to choose from. All evidently include emergency supplies as part of the kit. I noted ample supplies of water.  You might need an oxygen tank, depending on your circumstances. And, for the Prepper, you could probably be buried in this thing when the time comes to be planted in the ground permanently.

Personally I'd like at least a queen size one for my wife and me. Too bad I've already gotten her Christmas gift for this year, but our wedding anniversary is in April.

OK, since someone is maybe reading this wondering, "What should I be doing in bed before an earthquake?" Start with "sleeping." But, really, don't have any heavy objects hanging over the bed, on the wall, etc., that can fall on you. We have dried flowers over the bed in our bedroom at home. Stay in bed when the shaking starts and cover your head with a pillow. When the shaking stops, put on the shoes you have stored under your bed for this eventuality before running to check on the kids. In the Northridge earthquake, many people cut their feet on broken glass walking barefoot in their home.  You might have a hammer or crowbar in the room to un-jam a door, and a flashlight. Personally, we keep a fire extinguisher in the bedroom in addition to the one on the first floor and one in the garage.
