Waterside Disaster Response in Hawaii Ends

This was a U.S. Coast Guard-led effort.

It has been months, but the waterside clean-up of boats and hazardous materials has ended in Hawaii. See this: Unified Command ends western Maui wildfire emergency support operations.

All the response and coordination came from the wildfires that swept Hawaii and also impacted the waters in Lahaina Harbor.

The U.S. Coast Guard is the best agency there is at establishing a unified command operation. While many say they do it, in actuality you will mostly find agencies in their own command posts doing their own thing with little "jointness" to be found.
