Where Is the International Heat Emergency?

GDACS is not following the heat, it seems.

There is the Global Alert and Disaster Coordination System (GDACS) that sends out daily summaries of disasters and those that have occurred or are looming.

It would seem that during recent heat emergencies that are happening around the world, attention would be directed to that natural disaster — since heat kills more people than any other single disaster type.

Maybe I’m missing it, or maybe they need to start thinking about heat emergencies and their warning platform that I check each and every day via the messages they send out automatically to my email.

The heat is on!
