Missouri AG Rolls Out Recalls Web Site

"This Web page offers a one-stop resource for keeping tabs on exactly what products have been recalled and what consumers should do if they have any of the recalled products."

With recent product recalls in the United States involving everything from toys and tires to peanut butter and pet food, Attorney General Jay Nixon launched a page on his Web site to provide a clearinghouse for information about recalls. The page brings together detailed information from various federal agencies involved in recalls, including the Food and Drug Administration, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Coast Guard.

"Health and safety often are very real concerns with these recalls," said Nixon, "and consumers may miss seeing or hearing important information reported through the media. This Web page offers a one-stop resource for keeping tabs on exactly what products have been recalled and what consumers should do if they have any of the recalled products."

Nixon said the recall Web site will be updated as new information becomes available from the various federal agencies that are involved in the recall process.
Consumers with questions or complaints about the sale of goods or services can contact or fill out a complaint form with the Missouri Attorney General's Office online.
