The city of Alpharetta awarded Nestor Traffic Systems a contract to provide CrossingGuard, a traffic light enforcement system.
As an effort to reduce the number of red light violations in Alpharetta, the city will install CrossingGuard at five intersections that have shown high accident volumes.
The CrossingGuard system offers advanced digital-video technology, a collision avoidance safety feature and advanced client support capabilities. Compared to still film solutions that offer only a few images of a violation, CrossingGuard's multiple, time-synchronized images give officers and court officials a complete picture of what actually happens at an intersection, enabling them to make accurate, objective decisions.
